Psychedelic Crypts!

Hello Good people who still come to read my blog.

Sorry if it’s a bit bare here of late.

I was starting to do a bit of research on The Crypt in Deptford but ended up interviewing Dave Russell on a totally different Crypt in Notting Hill.

The Crypt of the Methodist Church in Lancaster Road was the venue for many great psychedelic bands from 1967 to 1972.

So expect some really great stuff soon. Stories of both crypts and more. In the meantime here’s a little film of Pink Floyd in 1967 at the UFO club….well that’s what it says on Youtube it’s hard to tell which band it is.The film focusses on the club and the punters . Pink Floyd would have been playing at the Arts and Community Centre of Notting Hill in the crypt of the Methodist church Notting Hill at around this time.

BACK SOON WITH MORE TALES FROM A CRYPT IN LONDON

(no he isn’t tripping he is speaking in German…I think!)

…..actually he is speaking German and tripping at the same time…also notice the woman dancing with mad eyes!

plus the guy putting colours on the oil-wheel …great stuff
