No music comes from nothing or nowhere even if it is new then it’s often a synthesis of musical ideas from different cultures combined with exploring new technology.
I am just starting to get into Ethnomusicology (the anthropology of music) and it’s really fascinating stuff.

I think everyone has multiple personalities really, or one personality carved up for use on different occasions. It's a defense mechanism I think so we don't appear boring or out of place. I enjoy tracing the roots of certain music too in a natural way. A song with something new to me that I enjoy will often lead me to study the links. Happy Easter!
